The Women’s Business Network of Peterborough (WBN) is a networking channel for women who wish to enhance and expand their business contacts and grow their businesses. Formed in 1961 as the Peterborough Chapter of the Canadian Advertising and Sales Association, the network has evolved into a dynamic and growing membership of women with diverse backgrounds and careers who meet to share their knowledge and experience and promote their businesses. Network members are entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, administrators, writers, media representatives, computer specialists and health care providers, to name a few.
From September to June, a diverse program of learning, sharing and socializing is provided for members. Guest speakers, trade shows, special events, and gala socials make the WBN the premier network for women in the Kawarthas and surrounding areas. Please feel free to join us as a guest to discover what this fantastic network has to offer. Our colour brochure is available for download as a PDF.
The WBN Celebrated Its 50th Anniversary In May 2011
On May 4 & 5, 2011, we celebrated the 50th birthday of our network by doing the things we’ve always done best – sharing knowledge and inspiration with a good measure of dining, dancing and having fun together! Here is the documentary video that was commissioned to highlight our progress over the years:
In special recognition of this momentous anniversary, The Examiner created a special, 40-page, full-colour commemorative magazine to celebrate the WBN’s achievements over the past 50 years. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank The Examiner and graphic designer, Jocasta Boone, for their great work in making this a beautiful collector’s piece!
